shirotuskino asked: I was wondering if you heard anything about the marine science course from UHI. It's fairly new and I'm not sure about applying.

coloredcartridges asked: I see you post drawings occasionally of marine wild life, and I was wondering if you could list some of the blogs that post stuff like that, because I really love looking at the illustrations.

stargazingrights asked: Hi! I'm currently studying biology in the U.S. but I ultimately want to get a Masters in marine biology. I have a couple of questions that I hope you can help me with. 1) Do you think it would be better for me to get a degree in biology or marine biology (my university offers both). I just picked biology because everyone told me that it gets me more opportunities in the future. 2) Do you have...

Anonymous asked: Hi! I'm already in senior year of high school and currently still confuse in searching for university. I've been looking up the curriculum of ocean engineering in one university in my country, but why does it seems that it involves more physics than biology?

Anonymous asked: Hello I'm really interested in becoming a biologist. But the thing is biology still way to broad that i'm quite confuse to search the focus of it. Can you tell my opportunity in becoming a biologist in Indonesia?

ryulongd asked: Have you ever had any particular issues with seasickness or maybe some ways to avoid it. The last time I was out in the field (oh gosh 5 years ago now), I was the first to go down for the count on a simple day's field lab trip thing. Although, we did go out on 8 foot swells, IIRC.

Anonymous asked: Hey. Where are you currently volunteering?! Is there a chance that the company/lab still requires volunteers at all?

Anonymous asked: heehee I kinda agree with the part about TTS. But its good to know there is a marine biologist who has links to Singapore. I used to want to be a marine biologist as a kid but in a small country like Singapore, marine biology was not an option after JC. (Parents didn't want me going overseas for a degree haha) But right now I would give anything to go back and do something in marine biology....

happpyhorns asked: I'm sure you've been asked this before. But in your about me it said you took literally that you needed a scar from a marine organism to be a real marine biologist. So, do you have one and if so how did you get it?
Anonymous asked: omg you're from Singapore! What school were you from?

Anonymous asked: Regarding the tattoo post: I know that many big names (SeaWorld, Disney) require that tattoos be hidden for the most part. I would be very careful about getting tattoos if I was going into an aquarium industry.

eduardo- asked: One thing I took away from my time working with AIMS and the faculty at JCU is that a huge portion of the people at both institutions had apparent body modification, so I don't think tattoos and the like are career killers necessarily. As you mention though, context is everything.

pabu-is-amon asked: I'm thinking about becoming a marine biologist, what colleges have a good marine bio program?

shark-bait-ooh-haha asked: I was wondering how people feel about tattoos in the marine biology field. My dream job is to work at the Georgia Aquarium and I'm transfering to GSU in 2 years so I can start working with them through the school. If you or any of your followers know anything about how they personally feel also that would be gladly welcomed:)

tuggysaurusrex asked: Hey this might sound like a silly question, but I've always seriously wondered about it. Could a human put their entire body in the mouth of a whaleshark then climb out like it was no big deal?
