This may be a silly question, but I am going on a snorkeling trip in the keys in a few weeks, and I was hoping you could give me some safety advice. I have found plenty of information on what to do if you find yourself in the water with sharks, but what if you find yourself in the water with dolphins? I know they are suposed to be friendly and all but they are big and strong and a bit scary to me haha. So, when you find yourself in the water with one, what is the best exit strategy?

It is one of my life goals to see Dolphins underwater! Does it happen a lot in the Keys? It doesn’t round here. I haven’t heard of any wild dolphin attacks though I can’t say I’ve looked for that information!
You sound like you have a good attitude, I’d be respectful of their size and strength as well. I’d hope they’d be intelligent enough to leave people alone, for their sakes as much as ours - but I guess just stay calm, don’t freak out (or you know, try and ride them)! Hope you get to see some!

Yep — it does happen a lot in the keys. I went to the keys on a school trip when I was 12, and we were supposed to go see the dolphins, but the water was too choppy.
