Hello, again. I've finally learned I will be going overseas for school this fall. While I know that where I'm going is nothing like the Philippines, do you have any advice for a grad student (and fellow oceanographer) living and studying abroad for the first time?

I tried to reply to this message a while ago, but my internet crapped out.
I think the most important thing is to keep an open mind. Classes will be taught differently, food will be different, the littlest things will take getting used to.
But if you embrace it, and go at the studying with the same effort that it takes to make the decision to study abroad, you’ll do great :)
