10 Reasons Why Dolphins Are A$$holes

Treehugger recently posted 10 Reasons Why Dolphins Are Undeniably Awesome. This is all nice and well but this does overlook some key aspects of dolphins that should be recognized. Good luck trying to sleep tonight when you start thinking about dolphins.

This one is very special to me because I grew up in the are where it lives, in the Gulf of California. Such a beautiful creature and Unique. And such sadness that it has come to this point.
Three years ago I did a mural that was partially destroyed by some people who where being manipulated in to arguing that it did not exist.
Where the Vaquita lives is protected under federal law, and is off limits to trawlers and big commercial fshing boats. Still, there is  a lot of artesanal fishing happening in it’s area and they cannot see the nets. They get entangled and because they need to get air to live they drown.

A pod of more than 60 pilot whales, at risk of beaching, has again left a Hebridean loch after one of them died
The whales were first spotted around Loch Carnan on Thursday, sparking fears that they would perish in a mass stranding.

There had been concerns after about 20 of the pod were spotted with head injuries, thought to have been sustained while in the shallow water.
